1envelope of thick and zesty dry spaghetti sauce mix
12ouncepackage of medium egg noodles, cooked
16ouncecarton of sour cream
16ouncebag of shredded cheese (cheddar, colby-jack, mozzarella, etc..) (mix and match the flavors as you would like to equal 16 oz.)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9×13 inch casserole dish. Brown your hamburger meat and add the 1 tsp. of garlic salt. Drain meat if needed once it is finished browning.
In a glass mixing bowl, mix the jar of spaghetti and the envelope of dry spaghetti sauce with the browned hamburger meat.
Take 1/3 of the cooked noodles and spread them into the dish.
Spread about 1/3 of the meat mixture on top of the noodles.
Spread about 1/3 of the sour cream on top of the meat.
Sprinkle half of the cheese of your choice on top of the sour cream.
Continue this layering process and end it with the cheese.
Bake for 30 minutes and serve.
Notes
Recipe Source: My mother, who in turn found it in a cookbook. ***A Note About the Cheese:You can combine and use whatever kind of cheese you would like...just as long as it equals to 16 oz. For example: 8 oz. of Cheddar with 8 oz. of Colby Jack or 8 oz. of Mozzarella with 8 oz. of Colby Jack. Or you can just keep strictly 16 oz. of whatever cheese you like.***
