Artichoke, Bacon and Spinach Dip: A One Bowl Recipe
This Artichoke, Bacon, and Spinach Dip is not only tasty, but easy to make as well. It’s a great one-bowl recipe to serve on any night of the week!
It’s a one-bowl recipe that comes together with a snap of a finger and wonderful to make any day of the week!
It has been in our family for years. I first discovered it in 2009, when this site was just a little dot on the world wide web.
My children were young back then (3 and 1) and didn’t have a clue as to what an artichoke looked or tasted like.
Every time this recipe is made, left overs are no where to be found. I remember bringing this to a military spouse function and one of them couldn’t get enough of it. She claimed that even though she wasn’t a fan of artichokes, she enjoyed them in this dip.
The original recipe did not call for bacon and for the longest time, I left it out. However, since I have grown tremendously in the culinary department over the years, I thought that the addition of bacon would take this dip over the top.
I think my suspicious were correct!
The concept for this dip is super simple. It’s a one-bowl recipe that only takes 10 minutes to prepare and 15-20 minutes to cook, from start to finish!
Place everything in a medium bowl and stir until well combined.
The mixed ingredients rest inside a greased baking dish and cook as the recipe states. I don’t know about you, but if I’m hosting a party or a get together, I welcome any recipe that can be whipped up in under 10 minutes flat.
Not only is this an easy dish to make, it’s also versatile as well. We have served this dip with tortilla chips, crackers, and even toasted bread bowls. We’ve also been known to eat it plain, straight out of the oven.
You can also switch the types of cheese as well. I’ve heard Gruyere and/or Swiss could be a good twist.
The artichoke and bacon combo in this recipe is what puts it over the top!
The bacon is what gives this appetizer a savory flavor when it combines with the artichokes. At first, it may not sound like the pairing of the century, however, it’s amazing how well they mold together. Our family enjoys this recipe and we hope yours will also!
