Apple Snicker Salad

 AppleSnickerSalad3jpg
An apple and a Snickers Bar.
Who would have thought that these two unlikely ingredients would taste so perfectly well together?  Certainly not I.
This recipe came to me via a cooking club at our last military base.  One of the women showed up with this dessert salad and changed our lives forever!

You can taste the tartness of the apples and the sweetness of the Snicker Bar and vanilla pudding.  This is definitely a combination of flavors that I would not have even dared to try.  Then the recipe landed on my lap 10 years ago and well, it’s been in my family ever since 🙂
Word of warning:
It is not the healthiest recipe out there….
but it does have apples in it so that has to count for something right?

Give it a whirl and you’ll see what I’m talking about 🙂

  1. That salad looks beautiful and inviting. I make an adapted version by using sugar free butterscotch pudding (makes it sort of like caramel apple) and add chopped sugar free Reese's cups. There's more than one way to 'skin a cat'…so to speak…to get around the calorie side of this luscious dish. =D MMM good!

    1. LOL…yes…we categorize it in this house as a 'dessert salad.'

    1. Oh…that would be a good addition to it! Love that idea!
